Spring Education Group Students Donate $38,000 to Communities in Need This Summer

Kids Helping Communities SEG Recap

This summer, thousands of students at Spring Education Group schools across the country took part in Kids Helping Communities initiatives to provide support and spread kindness to those in need. Kids Helping Communities initiatives included donation drives to collect food, clothing, school supplies, pet items, diapers and other essential items, fundraisers to help fight childhood hunger and life-threatening illnesses, and more.

Highlights included:

  • $32,000 raised for Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation through lemonade and cookie sales to support the organization’s mission of impactful research, raising awareness and supporting families to help cure pediatric cancer.
  • Fundraisers resulting in nearly $6,000 for local organizations supporting families of children fighting cancer and other life threatening illnesses.
  • More than 2,000 essential and childcare items, including hygiene and wellness products, toys, stuffed animals, clothing items, diapers, wipes and more, collected for nonprofits supporting children in need.
  • 500 nonperishable food items collected to help stock the shelves of community food banks and provide meals to local families in need.

Spring Education Group schools instill a sense of social responsibility at all ages by implementing opportunities for students to learn about the importance of giving back and helping others in need. Kids Helping Communities initiatives encourage students to explore how they fit into their community and the larger world through charitable giving.
