Stratford Preparatory Blackford Inaugural Class Secures Outstanding College Acceptances
We are proud to celebrate the college acceptances for the inaugural graduating class at Stratford Preparatory Blackford. This spring, 65 seniors will receive their diplomas and become the first graduating class in Stratford School’s 27-year history. The results are outstanding, and a culmination of their hard work and thoughtful decision-making.
The founding class has earned acceptances to an exceptional range of highly selective institutions, including:
- Princeton University
- Cornell University
- Duke University
- Johns Hopkins University
- University of Cambridge
- Georgia Tech
Students will also attend prestigious University of California campuses, including UC Berkeley, UCLA, UC San Diego, UC Irvine, UC Davis, UC Santa Barbara, UC Santa Cruz, UC Riverside, and UC Merced.

In a testament to this class’s academic caliber, 14% of our graduating seniors earned National Merit Scholarship Program Semifinalist distinctions, placing Stratford Preparatory Blackford among the nation’s top college-preparatory programs. For reference, fewer than 1% of students nationally earn this distinction each year.
What began as our founder, Sherry Adams’, dream to build an exceptional Stratford high school has grown into a successful, vibrant, engaged, and inspiring learning community. We are thrilled to see our first class of students receive their diplomas this spring and go on to pursue their higher education dreams in this next chapter. We look forward to witnessing their continued success.” – Phil Dolan, Head of School, Stratford Preparatory Blackford
Graduates are heading into fields that reflect both personal interests and broader workforce trends, including computer science, engineering, data science, neuroscience, business, public health, design, and robotics. Such disciplines closely align with the innovation-driven economy surrounding the campus.
Yet Stratford School emphasizes that success extends beyond academics.
The campus has built a strong culture of engagement, with 97% of students participating in student-led clubs and more than half taking on leadership roles. With robotics teams, Model United Nations, and more than 13 athletic teams across middle and high school, our students’ extracurricular activities encourage both intellectual and social development, while enhancing their college applications and readiness.
As the Class of 2026 prepares to step onto college campuses around the world, Stratford Preparatory Blackford is already looking ahead. If its first graduating class is any indication, the school has quickly established itself as a formidable new player in the competitive landscape of college preparatory education.
